Good fictionreexamines and transcends categories.

Witha brief history and definition of Magical Realism, we will move on to someexamples and what they can teach us. Then we will examine why and when authorstend to use magical realism in recent years. Lastly, we will focus on thedifference between how Magical Realism is generally perceived, and what it isactually doing (which is much deeper and more complex than generally thought).Issues of Magical Realism in relation to women’s rights and postcolonialsituations will also be explored.
