Graffiti is writing ordrawings that have been scribbled, scratched, or sprayed illicitly on a wall orother surface, often in a public place. Graffiti ranges from simplewritten words to elaborate wall paintings, and it has existed since ancienttimes, with examples dating back to Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, and the Roman Empire.
This lecture is going toanswer the questions if graffiti is art or vandalism. Issues like the origin ofgraffiti, graffiti in the west and China, tolerated or judged art, etc. aregoing to be covered. We all love good graffiti, but on our own wall or city?
主讲人简介:
Kay Drewling, an international teacherfrom New Zealand, is an English teacher in CUMT and also a qualified architect.He has been working and living in Xuzhou since 2010, who has a variety ofinterests and enjoyed his life in Xuzhou a lot.
