Lecture Synopsis:The American rodeo started out as a normal part of life for cattle ranchers and gradually became a national pastime. Rodeos
are popular throughout the country and attract many spectators and participants from all walks of life. Competitions are strictly regulated now,
but this wasn’t always the case. Rodeos and Wild West Shows were often quite dangerous and, as a result, very exciting. In this lecture,
you’ll learn about the colorful history and equally flamboyant present of this popular sporting event.
